Why is this in humour/showoff?... Use the crysis 3 thread in gaming and computers.

I agree that this should be in G&C but using the Crysis 3 thread sounds dumb. It's an engine that he's showing off, not a game...

Considering how closely the two are related I don't see a point creating a whole new thread for a subject that can be discussed in an existing thread.

That's like saying you have to say about UDK in and Unreal 3 thread when 70+ other games use the engine.

There are 22 other games (some unreleased thus far) that use CryEngine 3, and there are set to be a lot more, considering its wide application and ease of use.

Don't just jump to conclusions about these things O.o

Oh I didn't know that. Fair enough; coincidentally I was just watching the videos on their website.

Looks good. I'd love to be able to animate with this.

Yeah it's a really interesting piece of kit. Me and my friends were designing a Machinima using it. Just never really took off because of the amount of work we'd need to put in alongside uni.

Timesplitters 4 is actually using CryEngine 3 in its production so I think it'll come out really well :D

Yeah it's a stunning engine. I love the realtime linking with Maya for character animation, that's really cool.

Wow, that's amazing. Everything from the water effects to shadows through particles was impressive. However I get the feeling these great features won't be fully realised until the next generation of consoles, which is a shame.
