I believe we can create really amazing things with open-source programs (see Blender animations, for example). With that in mind, I started to use a combination of open-source tools for my stick figure videos: Synfig, Gimp, Audacity and Kdenlive.

The videos below belong to the Not Safe! Series. I had a topic about it on the Pivot section, but as I am now using Synfig as the primary animation tool, it did not seem appropriate to post them on that section, so I created this topic here to show them.

There are already animations that make use of backgrounds made in Gimp, the original Idea came from Pyro Mecha. I believe Oblivionfall is being innovative combining pivot and flash at the moment as well.

I didn't know about Pyro Mecha. I am going to have a look on his animations.
