Oppression: Blacks vs Jews

A friend posed this question to me today.
Who has been oppressed more, black people or Jews?

I thought about this, and it's very difficult for me to form a conclusive judgement.
When you consider that African Americans have been enslaved and mistreated for many years, and Jews have been systematically hunted and destroyed over a relatively short period of time, it seems like a close match.

What do you guys think?
I'm curious to see how everyone feels about this.

Jews have been oppressed for a short time? The Jews have been persecuted from virtually everyone for 2,000 years. Everyone from the Arabs, the Christians, and the Romans have been slaughtering Jews since the start of the Common Era; The bible even records Jews in Egypt being evicted from their homes and enslaved. There have also been dozens of Jewish mass-genocides, the biggest and most famous being in World war 2.
It was never uncommon for a Jewish town to be massacred, or all the Jews in a town to be rounded up and executed.

So yeah, it's pretty easy to come to the conclusion that the Jews have been persecuted more and for longer than black people.

Guess I didn't consult wikipedia before making this.
I didn't realize Jews have been oppressed for so long. The answer is obvious after thorough research.

Anyways this topic isn't really up for debate anymore :P

Well at my school, us Jews are oppressed much more. Blacks are like worshiped here.

I don't see how this is a debate lol. It's pretty much a fact that Jews have been persecuted for more than 2,000 years, while the mentality of strong racism really hasn't been around for all that long.
