There's no question there's other life on planets out there, it's just doesn't have to be sentient, like some people seem to think all life is... Anyways, if I remember correctly, there's algae frozen in the ice caps of Mars.

And just for the heck of it, research "water bear". Evolution entails adaptation, but these little critters have done way more that just that. Water bears can go into a hundred-year hibernation. In that hibernation, they can surive radiation that'd kill any other animal. They can survive without any atmospheric pressure. They can survive without anything to sustain them. In other words, they can space travel. Scientists have studied them for a long time, and have tested them in space-conditions, and they survive.

I'm 100% sure that there is extraterristical life.
They found out that there is a giant ocean under a huge ice layer (10-100 km) on Jupiters moon ''Europa'', where life forms can evolve.

The lines are gaps in the surface of the moon where water comes out and freezes, triggered by Jupiters gravitation.

Here's something for you guys to think of: The atmosphere of a planet where aliens are will probably have different atmosphere to it. Even though it would probably hold the 5 elements that are required for complex life forms (or so we think), it would probably have different gravity, probably a different setting for the air (more oxygen than we're used to or so) or would be a little bit hotter or colder than we're used to.

So probably, even if we find complex alien life, it would take one hella lot of effort to meet them face to face.

Just thought I'd point that out, to get all the "alien sightings" to be a bit more unrealistic than they already were.

I believe there are indeed extra terrestrial beings, considering how immense this universe is. The thing is though, they are probably not as much developed as us or perhaps even more. Though it's unlikely they are able to travel all the way to the earth and if they are, it's kinda hard to find us, considering how small we are scaled to the universe.

I think there are certainly aliens out there, but not in our solar system ect. The universe is so vast, It would be impossible to think that of the millions of galaxies, with millions of solar systems inside them, not one of them has any form of life at all. And maybe not like big aliens with giant eyes and green bodies, but little things, microbes and even plants of sorts.

I think it's safe to say that if life evolved on another planet, it'd be nothing like we have. I don't think there'll form plants there, or at least something that might be similar comparing the things they do but look nothing like it, since everything on that planet's probably 100% different.

I, myself, find it difficult to doubt the existence of extraterrestrial life. In fact, my neighbor, and my stepfather's brother had claimed that they saw UFOs at around 2:00AM, on the same night. It was also believed the government is holding a live alien in one of their bases as we speak.

I'm doubting whatever your neighbor, stepfather and brother saw was really a UFO, as even though I believe in extra terrestrial life, chances are they aren't able (or willing) to visit us so far away. Or even know about or existence.
On the subject of the government owning a life alien, I highly doubt it, people love making conspiracy theories and believing them.

Just my two cents.

"The universe is a pretty big place. If it's just us, seems like an awful waste of space."
- Carl Sagan

To sum it up, there has to be life out there other than us, I just can't see the viewpoint of people who think otherwise.

Care to elaborate? That's a pretty close-minded statement right there since the universe is so vast. I mean, you've never once thought that there could be some life in this vast universe? It doesn't necessarily have to be alien based lifeforms or whatever, it could be just something as simple as bacteria or plant-life that we have never heard of.

So back onto the subject of wormholes, has anyone actualy considered that black holes might be wormholes. What other explaination could there be for a way to put infinate things into limited space than going back/forward in time. I realise this is extremely farfetched though, just a thought.
