No, not yet... you can only import .stks. If enough people ask to have .pivs openable by Stykz, I'll look into supporting that in the future.

I can save my animations as Stykz files, but It wont let me export anything.

I've tried all the different ways to export files, and none seem to work. Which I click the "save" (i'm not sure exactly what it says) button, it just closes the browsing window and doesn't save the file at all.

(Pivs would be great in Stykz, btw)

then you can export as a gif or did i understand something wrong ._.)
also a sort of stykz-help thread would be fine :p

Thats what I've been doing. I select the right option, select the .gif exportation. Its just when I click on the button (i cant remember if its "save" or "export") the save window closes. When I look in the folder I tried saving the gif in, its just empty. No file of any kind at all.

wait are you a mac or windows user

mac: uninstall the program and reinstall, because if you're title of the animation has: \ (space) " ' ` < > ! ; ( ) [ ] ? # $ ^ & * = then the current build will not save .gif. so stykzman with his incredible skills, fixed that bug in one sitting and released a 1.0.1 for mac yesterday.

windows: See if you can save as bitemaps, of course send stykzman a pm about issue.

None of the exports work. Gifs, Bmp, PNG, MOV, it all fails :

Wow... I'll need to get some more info on this:
  • - Are you using Mac or WIndows?
  • - Where are you trying to export to (like what folder)?
  • - What is the name of the file you're using?
(If you'd rather take this off-list and on to PM, that's fine - either way works for me)

Thats strange... Its letting me export gifs now. But before it wasn't o.O

I am using Windows XP Home (I think..). The file was to be called Flip Fail, but I had tried others. I had tried saving in empty folders, tried saving on the desktop, tried saving in the default animation folder, but it never worked. As soon as I clicked the "save" button it'd just close the save window and leave me with no file.

It seems to of fixed itself now, but other people may still have the same problem.

Sometimes when I select a figure, it wont let me use all the "pivot" buttons. Like Delete, Center, Flip, Color, Scale, Front and Back look "disabled". I know they're supposed to do this when you haven't selected anything, but yesterday they were still not working even after I selected a figure.

Also that ultra mega-detailed wall that I made will not import from the library (but thats probably just lag, you can blame my computer for that) and I don't get any error boxes. My computer freezes for 15 seconds and then when it unfreezes the file has not been imported at all.

These are the only errors I've faced so far

OK, just let me know if it happens again.

Hmm, if you can come up with a repeatable recipe to recreate that bug, that would be great. I'll keep my eye out for it as well.

Can you do me a favor and send me the .styk? I just want to make sure it's not something else...

I might look into Stykz and use it a bit. But since they still do not have support for sprites, I will likely not move over to Stykz (for good) until they add that feature along with Background images.

Oh god, I hate sprites...

And you don't need them either. Stykz lets you give individual segments individual colors. You can create really advanced backgrounds will lots of shading and details all attached to one stk. And unlike sprites, they can resize and rotate with no pixelation. Interchangeable backgrounds aren't needed when you can do this either. Look at the background in my Stykz thread as an example -.-

Well, I was never fond of how you made Stks. Which is why I moved over to sprites. Since Stykz is in development, they could try to improve the sprite function from BETA.
