Im pretty sure whichever animations are posted(on their own threads) are entered into the contest every 2 weeks.

It's probably just because its not really a competiton where people "enter" it. They just wait 2 weeks, then put the best group of animations posted in those 2 weeks in a poll where people vote Which animation made in that 2 week time period is the best.
Oh and Stickid, im super fuckin' late on this, but using "horn intro" as the intro for the Blood Collab 2 gave me so much respect for you just because i love that band lol

I take it all back, I was confused as to what type of AOTF this was. I've always known the AOTF to be a competition where each animator is given a theme and allowed two weeks to complete an animation. After the two weeks everyone votes on the animations and so on.
I didn't know this was simply a vote on some animations that have been released in a two-week period.
The term AOTF was misleading for me, I'll be quiet and go away now.
